Can yoga lower blood pressure? Researchers at Long Island University are at work on this question, which could significantly affect the ways we approach cardiovascular disease and treatment.
“This class is comprised of people who participated in the study, which was done over the past two years on yoga and hypertension. We take a group of people who have elevated blood pressure … for twelve weeks, twice a week, for an hour each [in class], [and] they do home practice for twenty minutes, three times a week. We measure the blood pressure before this and after and see if it changes.”
